EXPERIENCE & IMPACT

Throughout my career, I have served in progressive leadership roles across multiple Long Island school districts, guiding system-wide initiatives that strengthen instruction, support diverse learners, and build collaborative, student-centered school communities. My work reflects a commitment to both strategic leadership and grounded, day-to-day practice, ensuring that systems and decisions remain closely connected to students and educators.

District Leadership Experience

​I have had the privilege of serving in leadership roles across districts including Central Islip, Babylon, Valley Stream 24, Bridgehampton, Westhampton Beach, Connetquot and Middle Country, with responsibilities spanning Special Education, English as a New Language, Pupil Personnel Services, curriculum and instruction, funded programs, personnel and Student Support Systems.  Across these roles, I have worked collaboratively with Boards of Education, district leaders, educators, and families to develop programs and systems that improve outcomes for all students.

Program Development & Systems Leadership

  • Led PreK–12 Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services systems, including CPSE and CSE processes

  • Implemented Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS/RTI) to improve early intervention and student outcomes

  • Strengthened transition planning and post-secondary readiness programming

  • Ensured compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining a student-centered focus

Staff Development & Mentorship

  • Designed and delivered professional development focused on differentiation, inclusive practices, behavior supports, and data-driven instruction

  • Mentored teachers and administrators to build instructional capacity and leadership skills

  • Served as an adjunct professor, preparing future educators in areas including special education, assessment, and instructional practices

Operations & Leadership

  • Led budget development and management of state and federal grants (including IDEA and Title funding)

  • Provided oversight of program implementation, staffing, and service delivery

  • Supported district initiatives related to school climate, safety, and student well-being

  • Collaborated with district leadership teams to align priorities and ensure organizational effectiveness

  • Secured and managed competitive, state and federal grant funding, strategically aligning resources to expand programs, support student services, and strengthen district initiatives

Instruction & Curriculum

  • Supported alignment of curriculum with New York State standards and best practices

  • Promoted inclusive instructional practices to support diverse learners across settings

  • Collaborated with instructional leaders to strengthen differentiated instruction and access to the general education curriculum

Family & Community Engagement

  • Strengthened partnerships with families through increased communication, collaboration, and access to resources

  • Supported and expanded SEPTA and parent engagement initiatives
